PM Shri GIC Thari was established in 2011 and it is managed by the Department of Education. It is located in Rural area. It is located in Ramnagar block of Nainital district of Uttarakhand. The school consists of Grades from 6 to 12. The school is Co-educational, dedicated to providing excellent education and helping students grow into future leaders, while fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment. Hindi is the medium of instructions in this school. This school is approachable by all-weather road. In this school academic session starts in April.

The school has Government building.

It has got 09 classrooms all the classrooms are in good condition.

It has 04 other rooms for non-teaching activities.

The school has a separate room for Head master/Teacher.

The school has electric connection. The source of Drinking Water in the school is Tap Water and it is functional.

The school has separate toilet for boys and girls.

The school has playground.

The school has a library and has 1060 books in its library.

The school has computers Lab for teaching and learning purposes and all are functional.

The school is having a computer aided learning lab with smart class.

The school is Provided and Prepared in School Premises providing mid-day meal.

PMShri GIC Thari follows the syllabus in strict accordance to Uttarakhand Board for the students admitted in the Humanities stream.
Medium of instruction is Hindi. English is taught as compulsory subject upto class VIII.
Students of classes XI and XII are categorized to Science and Arts groups.

The whole session is divided into two terms. The duration of Term – I is from April to September and the duration of Term – II is from October to March.

About PM Shri School
PM SHRI School is a centrally sponsored scheme by the Government of India. This initiative is intended to develop more than 14500 PM SHRI Schools managed by Central Government/State/UT Government/local bodies including KVS and NVS in which every student feels welcomed and cared for, where a safe and stimulating learning environment exists, where a wide range of learning experiences are offered, and where good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning are available to all students.
It will nurture students in a way that they become engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society as envisaged by the National Education Policy 2020.
More than 20 lakh students are expected to be the direct beneficiaries of the scheme. The scheme will also promote an understanding of various dimensions of the Quality of school education and inform Policy, Practice and Implementation. The learning from these schools will be scaled up to other schools in the country.
The Scheme is proposed to be implemented over a period of 5 years w.e.f. 2022-23 to 2026-27.
